A forgotten classic that "offended" the blues purists,
but everything offended the blues purists
even Hendrix.
Along with Electric Mud and The Howlin' Wolf album
these LP's introduced Pete Cosey's psychedelic
guitar playing prior to his gig with Miles Davis
during the Love Him Madly era
(Pangea, Agartha, etc).
Along with Eddie Hazel Cosey was responsible
for some of the far-out-ist guitar playing of the late 60's and early to mid seventies.

What does this ad tell us about the conception
the record companies had about the blues in the pre-war period
or blue singers in the dominant "white" culture?
But what really is this culture?
A culture of corporate monopoly capitalism
with an un-"free" market economy and a
representative democracy
that is rigged in favor of the richer and more powerful?
Race and poverty are mere instruments to maintain
a certain hierarchy of power and control.
